Summary
The Zero Carbon Naval Roadmap Project (RNCZ) will define clear decarbonization trajectories and targets by 2050 for the Naval Construction, Repair and Maintenance sector. The project begins with the diagnosis and benchmark of the sector and ESG trends, complemented by the modeling of emissions scenarios, technical, legal and financial studies and a set of consultation actions with the industry that allow the construction of the decarbonization roadmap with different goals between 2025 and 2050. This roadmap will be followed by a series of training actions of companies and dissemination to the sector and other stakeholders, for the implementation of decarbonization measures. The project will last 2 years with actions in all regions of mainland Portugal. The consortium will be made up of Fórum Oceano and the Alto Minho Business Confederation, guaranteeing a transversal representation of the CRMN sector and other synergistic sectors of the blue economy.
