The First RNCZ Project Listening Workshop took place on September 26th, during Porto Maritime Week, with the support of Transportes Negócios.
The event was a success, with more than 25 participants. Representatives from shipbuilding and repair companies were present, as well as industry suppliers, representatives from academia and elements of the port administration.
During the session, there was high participation around crucial topics such as Shipbuilding, Ship Repair and Ship Maintenance (CRMN), fundamental for the transition of the maritime-port sector towards a more sustainable future.
Among the themes explored, the following stand out:
- Technologies to reduce emissions and other environmental impacts
- Incentives for decarbonization for Portuguese companies
- Challenges and potential barriers in implementing decarbonization measures
- How the Decarbonization Roadmap can address the challenges presented
The various interventions demonstrate everyone’s commitment to the objective of the Zero Carbon Naval Roadmap.
The next Consultation Workshops will be coming soon and will take place in other regions of the country, namely in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and in the Algarve.
